Key Programs We've Delivered

  • Disaster Resilience Webinar with UNITAR

On December 1st, in collaboration with The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), ICP ran a women's leadership webinar where we engaged over 60 women leaders in disaster resilience. We gave an introduction to the basics of climate and peace, discussing topics like everyday peace indicators, positive peace, and Indigenous traditional knowledge, and how these topics can contribute to community resilience.
  • Ka‘a I Ka Wiwo‘ole: Brave Enough From the Frontlines of Our Climate Resilient Futures

Ka‘a I Ka Wiwo‘ole: Brave Enough From the Frontlines of Our Climate Resilient Futures uplifts girl and women-led climate justice in Hawaiʻi. Our first cohort in the Spring of 2024 brought together 9 girls and 13 women leaders across Hawaiʻi to uplift our community’s resilience and build the skills, networks, and passion to champion climate justice together. Our multigenerational training and mentorship program supports women and girls’ full power in culturally-responsive ways that honors identity, creativity, and energy to create the most just futures we can imagine.
  • ICP-Led Research-based Publications on Peaceful Climate Action

ICP creates research-based publications to inform and educate our communities on evolving climate impacts and efforts to build peace. Visit our Publications Page to read about Climate, Peace, and Security in the Pacific-Asia Region by ICP Analyst Katie Waters, The Significance of Women and Mother-led Social Change in the Pacific-Asia Region by ICP Associate Healani Goo, or about Residents in Hawaiʻi's Decisions to Remain or Retreat by ICP Analyst Bella Pucker.
