Moʻolelo Mondays

The Institute for Climate and Peace in partnership with Waiwai Collective and with support from Ceeds of Peace, the Matsunaga Institute for Peace, Read to Me International, and Hawaiʻi Literacy, bring you Moʻolelo Monday Story Time.

In the throes of the COVID-19 crisis, 179,000 public school students shifted from classroom-based learning to learning at home, via school-made enrichment packets, online digital curricula, and ʻohana-led experiential learning. While this necessary transition addresses the immediate need for online instruction, many families report that their children are bored and do not have adequate digital resources to access online curricula. This is especially true for households with several children that have varying educational needs. Further, with limited access to public libraries and age-appropriate literature at home, students are without sufficient material to enjoy reading at home.

Together, we aim to bring you fun, engaging, and informative content read by special guests in our community for families to enjoy!
